2024 MLB Home Run Leader Odds, Projections, and Stats

Last season, Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson slugged a career-high 54 home runs to lead MLB in that category. Will he repeat as MLB home run leader in 2024? A lot of worthy contenders will be coming for the crown.

With career highs in home runs, RBI (139), runs (127), and batting average (.283), Olson might have claimed NL MVP honors were it not for teammate Ronald Acuna Jr., who established the 40-70 club in a stellar campaign.

Olson and Acuna (41, which tied a career high) were two of six players to hit the 40-homer mark last season. Teammate Marcell Ozuna hit exactly 40, while Kyle Schwarber (47), Pete Alonso (46), and AL MVP Shohei Ohtani (44) also hit 40+ round trippers.

MLB Home Run Leaders 2023

  • Matt Olson, Atlanta Braves – 54
  • Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies – 47
  • Pete Alonso, New York Mets – 46
  • Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels – 44
  • Ronald Acuna Jr., Atlanta Braves – 41
  • Marcell Ozuna, Atlanta Braves – 40
  • Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodgers – 39
  • Adolis Garcia, Texas Rangers – 39
  • Luis Robert Jr., Chicago White Sox – 38
  • Aaron Judge, New York Yankees – 37
  • Austin Riley, Atlanta Braves – 37

Will any of these players top MLB’s home run charts this season?

The man atop the odds and the man to watch is Judge. After setting a new American League record with 62 home runs in 2022, Judge missed 56 games last season due to multiple injury issues.

However, he still managed to hammer 37 homers in 106 games. Had he played 157 games like he did in 2022, he would have finished with 55 homers, which would have been enough to edge out Olson.

Sports betting sites like BetOnline, Bovada, and BetUS currently don’t have MLB home run leader odds. But last year, BetUS was one of the best places to find MLB home run leader odds during the regular season.

For now, here are how the odds shake out at other sportsbooks.
