The Open Championship, scheduled for next week at Royal Troon, will see a number of potential contenders prepping for the big event at this week’s Genesis Scottish Open.

The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, a 7,237-yard, par-70 course, is hosting the tournament for the sixth year in a row.

Rory McIlroy claimed his first victory at the Genesis Scottish Open last year, beating Scotsman Robert MacIntyre by a single stroke with his 15-under 265.

So far, the only multiple winners of the Scottish Open are Ian Woosnam, the 1991 Masters winner and former world number one, who claimed victory in 1987, 1990, and 1996, as well as Ernie Els, a four-time major champion and former world number one, who won the tournament in 2000 and 2003.
