Maple Leafs Re-sign Alex Steeves To A One-year, Two-way Contract
The Toronto Maple Leafs revealed today that they have re-signed forward Alex Steeves to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract is worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
Last season, 24-year-old Steeves scored 57 points (27 goals, 30 assists) in 65 games for the Toronto Marlies, earning him a place in the 2024 AHL All-Star Game. The Bedford, New Hampshire-born player has also appeared in seven NHL regular season games with the Maple Leafs, securing one assist. Over three seasons with the Marlies, Steeves has accumulated 154 points (69 goals, 85 assists) in 188 regular season games, and added five points (one goal, four assists) in 10 playoff games.
On March 28, 2021, Steeves initially signed as a free agent with Toronto.
