Viewership for Round 1 of 2024 NFL Draft surpasses 2023
The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, televised last night, attracted an average of 12.1 million viewers across platforms like ESPN, NFL Network, ABC, ESPN Deportes and various digital channels. This represents a 6% increase compared to the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, which had 11.4 million viewers. It has been the most-watched first round since 2021.
The coverage of Round 1 on Thursday night garnered a unique audience of 34.3 million viewers, marking the highest since 2021.
The 2024 NFL Draft, spanning all seven rounds, is jointly presented on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network. This marks the sixth consecutive year that The Walt Disney Company has collaborated with the National Football League to provide a multi-network broadcast of the draft.
The all-time Day 1 draft record was shattered in Detroit on Thursday night, with an attendance of over 275,000 fans. This surpassed the previous record set by Nashville in 2019, which was 200,000 fans for Round 1.
