Texans WR Tank Dell running routes, looking healthy three weeks after suffering gunshot wound
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell looks to be on the mend weeks after suffering a gunshot wound.
Dell’s trainer, Delfonte Diamond, posted a video of the wideout running routes, looking spry three weeks after suffering the gunshot injury to the back of his leg.

Diamond recently told Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston that the wideout’s message is: “I’m ready to go.”
“Oh yeah, his mental is good,” Diamond said. “Big smile. He gave me a hug. He told me he loved me. He said, ‘It’s time to work.’ His spirits are in a good place.”
Dell was one of 10 people who sustained gunshot injuries while in a Florida bar on April 27. All 10 survived. For the Texans receiver, it was the situation of being at an unfortunate place at an unfortunate time, but luckily, he avoided more serious injury.
The recent videos show Dell in good shape, given the circumstances. Houston begins OTAs on Monday, but it could keep the wideout on the sideline until July training camp just to be certain there is no lingering issue.
Dell missed the end of his rookie campaign due to a broken leg, but at this rate, he should be on the field Week 1 for a Texans offense that could be the most explosive in the NFL in 2024.
