- The Bills announced the hiring of Matt Edwards as their assistant defensive line coach. Edwards previously was with the Raiders as a pass rush specialist and defensive assistant.

- Ejero Evero has been retained as the Panthers’ defensive coordinator.
- Brad Idzik was named offensive coordinator on Dave Canales’ coaching staff.
- Tracy Smith was announced as the team’s new special teams coordinator.

- Jordan Kovacs has been promoted to secondary/safeties coach.
- Brad Kragthorpe has been promoted to QBs coach.

- Former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is expected to be hired as the Cowboy’s defensive coordinator, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.

- The Raiders are expected to hire Chargers director of player personnel JoJo Wooden for a high-ranking executive role under general manager Tom Telesco, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source.
COACHING NEWS
- Shane Day is returning to the Chargers as QB coach, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported. Day previous was a senior offensive assistant for the Texans after spending the 2021 and 2022 seasons in Los Angeles as passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach.

- Chad Alexander has been named assistant general manager. Alexander spent the previous five years as the Jets’ director of player personnel
- Corey Krawiec has been named director of player personnel strategy. Krawiec comes over from Baltimore, where he recently aided the Ravens’ personnel department and coaching staff with innovative statistical strategies.

- TE George Kittle (toe) was limited for a second straight practice, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said he has no concerns about Kittle or Arik Armstead ‘s Super Bowl status.
