Vikings Decision Makers

Owner and Chairman: Zygi Wilf
Owner/Vice Chairman: Leonard Wilf
Owner and President: Mark Wilf
General Manager: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah
Head Coach: Kevin O’Connell

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah

Adofo-Mensah is about to start his 3rd season as the General Manager of the Vikings.

In the first two seasons under Adofo-Mesah as GM, Minnesota had a win-loss record of 20-14 (7-10 in 2023 and 13-4 in 2022).

Adofo-Mesah took over from Rick Spielman, who served as the General Manager of Minnesota Vikings from 2006 to 2021.

Spielman drafted six All-Pros and seventeen Pro Bowlers for Minnesota.

In his first two drafts as the General Manager of Minnesota, Adofo-Mensah has made 16 draft selections, evenly split between offense and defense with 8 each.

He used 7 out of his 8 top-4 round draft picks on a defender.

Only two players have started more than four games for MIN, namely, 2022 2nd round guard Ed Ingram and 2022 4th round cornerback Akayleb Evans.

In three of the last four drafts, MIN has traded back in the 1st Round.

In 2022, they swapped from No. 12 to No. 32 overall with the Lions and chose Safety Lewis Cine.

In 2021, they moved back from No. 14 to No. 23 overall in a trade with the Jets and selected T Christian Darrisaw.

In 2020, traded back from 25th to 31st overall with the 49ers (selected CB Jeff Gladney).

Only two of the original draft picks for the Vikings in the 2024 Drafts remain – the 1st Round, No. 11 overall and 4th Round, No. 108 overall.

Traded 2nd round pick to HOU in exchange for No. 23 overall.

Traded 3rd Round Pick to DET in exchange for TE T.J. Hockenson.

Traded 5th round pick to PHI in exchange for WR Jalen Reagor.

Traded 6th round pick to Arizona for quarterback Josh Dobbs in the deal.

Traded 7th round pick to LV in exchange for QB Nick Mullens.

In 2024, MIN possesses 9 draft picks, having traded for 7 of them.

This offseason, the Vikings traded with HOU to acquire the No. 23 overall pick, while still retaining their No. 11 overall pick.

Gave away: 2024 2nd Round (No. 42), 2024 6th Round (No. 188) & 2025 2nd Round Pick

Received: 2024 1st Round (No. 23) & 2024 7th Round (No. 232)

In 2024 free agency, Quarterback Kirk Cousins left Minnesota and signed with Atlanta.

From 2018 to 2023, Cousins started 88 games for MIN, with a win-loss record of 50-37-1.

Sam Darnold is currently the primary quarterback on the Vikings depth chart.

In the last five drafts, the Vikings did not select an edge rusher or defensive tackle with any pick in the top 80.
