Raiders Decision Makers

Owner: Mark Davis

President: Sandra Douglass Morgan

General Manager: Tom Telesco

Head Coach: Antonio Pierce

Assistant Head Coach: Marvin Lewis

Tom Telesco

Telesco is beginning his inaugural season as the GM of the Raiders.

Served as the GM for the Chargers for the previous 11 seasons (2013-2023)

Under Telesco’s management, LAC recorded 84-92 in 11 seasons.

The Chargers dismissed Telesco following their Week 15, 2023 defeat to the Raiders, where they lost 63-21.

Since 2018, Telesco is the fourth different GM for the Raiders.

Dave Zeigler served as the General Manager (GM) for the Raiders from 2022 to 2023, preceded by Mike Mayock who was GM from 2019 to 2021, and Reggie McKenzie who held the position from 2012 to 2018.

Only one out of the last seven 1st-round picks of the Raiders is still on the team – DE Tyree Wilson, who was the 7th overall pick in the 2023 Draft.

As of 2019, T Kolton Miller (2018) is the only 1st Rd pick from the Raiders still on the team.

Dave Ziegler and HC Josh McDaniels were both dismissed after Week 8, 2023.

Ziegler and McDaniels were both employed during the offseason of 2022.

Between 2022 and 2023, LV had a win-loss record of 9-16 under Ziegler and McDaniels.

During the 2023 offseason, Ziegler let go of their long-standing starting quarterback, Derek Carr. They then signed free agent quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year contract worth $72.8 million and drafted Aidan O’Connell, a quarterback, in the fourth round.

In 2023, Garoppolo started 6 games for LV and had a win-loss record of 3-3. However, he was released in the following season.

In 2023, O’Connell began as the quarterback in 10 games, with a win-loss record of 5-5, 12 passing touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

As the Raiders’ General Manager, Ziegler made his first-round draft pick, selecting Defensive End Tyree Wilson as the 7th overall in 2023.

In 2023, Wilson had a PFF defensive grade of 47.1, which was the second-worst among rookie edge players who played a minimum of 100 snaps.

The Raiders drafted three pro bowlers in 2016, all of whom were selected under Mayock in 2019.

Defensive End Maxx Crosby, Running Back Josh Jacobs, and Wide Receiver Hunter Renfrow (Jacobs and Renfrow are no longer with Las Vegas)

Under Telesco, the Chargers drafted eight Pro Bowlers, six of whom were 1st round picks.

Keenan Allen is notable 6 times, Joey Bosa 4 times, Derwin James 3 times, and Justin Herbert 1 time.

In 7 out of 11 NFL Drafts as the General Manager of the Chargers, Telesco chose an offensive player for their 1st round pick. This includes each of the last 4 drafts.

– Telesco selected WR Quentin Johnston 21st overall in the 2023 Draft
– Johnston: 38 rec, 431 rec yds, 2 rec TD (56.7 catch pct) in 2023

Telesco will be collaborating with the newly appointed Raiders Head Coach, Antonio Pierce.

In 2023, Pierce had a win-loss record of 5-4 as Las Vegas Interim Head Coach. He was then appointed as their permanent Head Coach in January.
