Raiders Decision Makers

Owner: Mark Davis

President: Sandra Douglass Morgan

General Manager: Tom Telesco

Head Coach: Antonio Pierce

Assistant Head Coach: Marvin Lewis

Tom Telesco

Telesco is embarking on his first season as the GM of the Raiders.

Served as the General Manager for the Chargers for the previous 11 seasons (2013-2023).

Under Telesco’s leadership for 11 seasons, LAC recorded 84 wins and 92 losses.

The Chargers dismissed Telesco following their Week 15, 2023 defeat against the Raiders where they lost 63-21.

Since 2018, the Raiders have had four different general managers, with Telesco being the fourth.

Dave Zeigler served as the General Manager (GM) of the Raiders from 2022 to 2023, preceded by Mike Mayock who held the position from 2019 to 2021, and Reggie McKenzie from 2012 to 2018.

Only one out of the last seven 1st-round picks for the Raiders is still on the team, DE Tyree Wilson, who was the 7th overall pick in the 2023 Draft.

Tackle Kolton Miller (2018) is the only Raiders’ 1st Round pick prior to 2019 who is still on the team.

Dave Ziegler was dismissed after Week 8, 2023, in conjunction with Head Coach Josh McDaniels.

Ziegler and McDaniels were both employed during the 2022 offseason.

From 2022-2023, under Ziegler and McDaniels, LV had a win-loss record of 9-16.

In the 2023 offseason, Ziegler made several changes to the team’s quarterback lineup. He let go of Derek Carr, who had been a long-time starting QB. He brought on free agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo with a three-year contract worth $72.8M. Additionally, he drafted QB Aidan O’Connell in the fourth round.

Garoppolo was the starting quarterback for LV in six games in 2023, ending the season with a win-loss record of 3-3. He was released after the season.

In 2023, O’Connell began 10 games as quarterback, with a win-loss record of 5-5, 12 passing touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

As the Raiders’ GM, Ziegler made one first-round draft pick, DE Tyree Wilson, who was the 7th overall in 2023.

In 2023, Wilson had a Pro Football Focus defensive grade of 47.1, making him the second-worst among rookie edge players who had a minimum of 100 snaps.

The Raiders selected three pro bowlers in 2016, all of whom were drafted under Mayock in 2019.

Defensive End Maxx Crosby, Running Back Josh Jacobs, and Wide Receiver Hunter Renfrow (Jacobs & Renfrow are no longer on Las Vegas team).

Under Telesco’s leadership, the Chargers drafted 8 Pro Bowlers, 6 of whom were 1st round picks.

Noteworthy: Keenan Allen (6x), Joey Bosa (4), Derwin James (3), Justin Herbert (1)

Telesco, as the Chargers GM, chose an offensive player for their 1st round pick in 7 out of his 11 NFL Drafts, which includes the last 4 consecutive drafts.

– Telesco selected WR Quentin Johnston 21st overall in the 2023 Draft
– Johnston: 38 rec, 431 rec yds, 2 rec TD (56.7 catch pct) in 2023

Telesco will be collaborating with the newly appointed Raiders Head Coach, Antonio Pierce.

In 2023, Pierce had a win-loss record of 5-4 as the Interim Head Coach of Las Vegas. He was appointed as their permanent Head Coach in January.
