An old favorite will reappear in the new era of branding in New York.
The Jets will wear an all-white version of their classic uniforms during a Monday Night Football appearance this season, the team announced Monday.

Most fans should recognize the uniform. It closely resembles the one New York sported from 1998-2018, a classic design made popular during the era of Joe Namath and the Super Bowl III champions. After wearing this design as a throwback in the 1993 and 1994 seasons, New York reintroduced it in 1998. They replaced the green shell worn in the early ’90s with a historically accurate white helmet and continued wearing them until unveiling a modern redesign in 2019.
Earlier this offseason, the Jets decided to change their 2019 uniforms, reverting to a classic look inspired by the New York Sack Exchange-era Jets. This also included a new black alternate uniform, following the same design.
The Jets have labeled these white throwbacks as “The Classic”, despite their recent appearance. This is because they are based on the uniforms worn by the Namath-led Jets, featuring a lighter shade of green than the one used from 1998-2018, and a period-accurate gray facemask.
The Jets will don these kits for their nationally televised Week 6 game against the AFC East-rival Buffalo Bills on Oct. 14.
