NEW YORK — The NFL has disclosed the day one activities for the 2024 NFL Draft, sponsored by Bud Light. These festivities will occur on Thursday, April 25, in Detroit.
The celebrations will commence with the attendees walking the NFL Draft Red Carpet, sponsored by Toyota, at the renowned Fox Theater. The Red Carpet event is slated to start around 5:20 P.M. ET and will be partially broadcasted during NFL Network’s NFL Draft Kickoff show. Kaylee Hartung will be interviewing the prospects on the Red Carpet, marking the beginning of their professional journey.
The city’s lively music scene will be highlighted by the league throughout the Draft. Angela Davis, a Detroit artist, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” live from the Draft Theater stage on the first day.
Caleb Carroll, a beloved performer at Detroit Lions games and native of metro Detroit, will deliver the national anthem from the Draft Theater stage. The Nation’s Colors will be presented by the Joint Armed Forces Color Guard of the Military District of Washington during his performance. Additionally, the Michigan Air National Guard will conclude the national anthem with a flyover.
At the Draft Theater, Colleen Wolfe and Michael Robinson from NFL Network will be hosting activities for the first night of the three-day event. Superfans from each club will also have the chance to fervently represent their team at the Inner Circle, sponsored by Courtyard by Marriott, which will be held at the same venue.
The NFL will conduct free concerts every day at the Draft Theater during the event as part of the NFL Draft Concert Series sponsored by Bud Light. These concerts will be held before the picks commence on Thursday and Friday, showcasing local talents. Additionally, a Drone Show and a tribute to Detroit music will be held on Friday night after the Draft. The series will conclude with a performance on Saturday after the Draft. The NFL Draft Concert Series, sponsored by Bud Light, will follow a first-come-first-served policy with only standing room available. The main acts will be announced in due course.
Recently, the league confirmed that the NFL Draft Experience, sponsored by Rocket Mortgage and considered the NFL’s top fan festival, will be available to the public for free from April 25-27. Hart Plaza will be the location for the Draft Experience, where games, exhibits, player interactions, and sponsor experiences will take place. Youth-oriented activities, such as NFL FLAG skills and drills, as well as football clinics, will be hosted at the NFL Play Football field at Corner Ballpark, sponsored by StatusPRO.
