2023 NFL season, Week 7: Notable injuries, news from Sunday's games
Here are the injuries and news we’re monitoring around the league on this Week 7 Sunday:
- Arizona Cardinals left tackle D.J. Humphries was ejected from the team’s game versus the Seahawks in the second quarter for making contact with an official.
- Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was “not feeling all that great,” head coach Arthur Smith said via the broadcast, which led to the RB missing a majority of the snaps versus the Buccaneers.
- Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) did not return versus the Lions.
- Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson exited the game versus the Colts in the first half, being replaced by P.J. Walker.
- Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson was disqualified in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game versus the Packers for unnecessary roughness. Jackson has been fined four times this season for illegal hits, and this was his second ejection.
- Detroit Lions running back Mohamed Ibrahim (hip) was ruled out versus the Ravens after being carted off the field. Head coach Dan Campbell said after the game that Ibrahim was already having surgery and will stay overnight in Baltimore.
- Green Bay Packers cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) was ruled out versus the Broncos. Safety Darnell Savage (calf) and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (knee) were also ruled out. Tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) did not return.
- Indianapolis Colts cornerback Julius Brents (quad) did not return versus the Browns.
- Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton suffered a dislocated wrist in Sunday’s game versus the Chargers, head coach Andy Reid told reporters. Bolton left the game in the fourth quarter and was ruled out.
- Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Divine Deablo (ankle) was ruled out versus the Bears.
- Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (quad) did not return versus the Chiefs. Linebacker David Long is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return.
- Miami Dolphins guard Isaiah Wynn (quad) has been ruled out against the Eagles.
- New England Patriots offensive lineman Trent Brown (knee) did not return versus the Bills. Offensive lineman Vederian Lowe (ankle) did not return.
- New York Giants running back Eric Gray (calf) did not return versus the Commanders. Running back Gary Brightwell (hamstring) was ruled out. Running back Saquon Barkley said after the game that he hyperextended his elbow, but that he’ll be OK.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Kaevon Merriweather (ankle) did not return versus the Falcons.
- Washington Commanders linebacker Cody Barton (ankle) was ruled out versus the Giants. Guard Saahdiq Charles (calf) did not return. Commanders All-Pro special teams player Jeremy Reaves announced Sunday he will be undergoing season-ending surgery on Monday. Reaves suffered a partially torn ACL in Week 5.
