Chose Zach Wilson as the quarterback with the 2021 No. 2 overall pick.

Sauce Gardner (CB) and Jermaine Johnson II (LB) have been selected for the Pro Bowl twice.

– Chosen as Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year in the first round of the 2022 Draft are CB Sauce Gardner and WR Garrett Wilson.

The 2022 Jets were one of the three teams since 1970 to choose both the Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year in the same class, along with the 2017 New Orleans team and the 2023 Houston team.

Since 2022, WR Garrett Wilson (No. 10 overall) has led the NYJ with 2,145 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns.

Cornerback Sauce Gardner, who was overall number 4, has been a 1st-Team All-Pro in his first two seasons.

The New York Jets had two first-round picks in both the 2021 and 2022 Drafts as a result of trading Safety Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks.

NYJ utilized the additional 2021 1st-round pick from SEA to acquire G Alijah Vera-Tucker, trading up from No. 23 to No. 14.

The New York Jets used the additional 2022 first-round pick they got from Seattle on Offensive Rookie of the Year wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

Over the last two drafts, the NYJ utilized 3 of their 4 first round picks on defensive players.

Defensive End Will McDonald IV (15th overall pick in 2023), Cornerback Sauce Gardner (4th overall pick in 2022), and Outside Linebacker Jermaine Johnson II (26th overall pick in 2022).

Gardner has been named All-Pro twice and been in the Pro Bowl twice, while Johnson has appeared in the Pro Bowl once.

In April 2023, the Jets acquired Aaron Rodgers, a former Packers quarterback and four-time AP NFL MVP, through a trade.

Traded 2023 1st Round (No. 13), 2023 2nd Round (No. 42), 2023 6th Round (No. 207), and 2024 2nd Round (No. 41) in exchange for Rodgers, the 2023 1st Round pick (Will McDonald IV), and the 2023 5th Round pick (Christopher Smith).

Rodgers ruptured his Achilles on the New York Jets’ opening drive of the season, where he attempted one pass but made no completions.

Rodgers has started once as well, but tore his Achilles on his first drive.

Douglas has utilized a top 3 round pick for every offensive and defensive position, excluding interior defensive line and linebacker positions.
