Trent McDuffie, a cornerback, was an All-Pro selection and was the 21st overall pick in 2022. This is noteworthy as it is the only pick higher than No. 30 overall that has been made under the general management of Veach for Kansas City.

Veach was not the General Manager of the Chiefs during the 2017 Draft.

Veach, Co-Director of PP, had a significant role in scouting Patrick Mahomes.

Veach reportedly referred to Mahomes as “the greatest player I’ve ever seen” before the 2017 NFL Draft.

Kansas City traded with Buffalo to secure the No. 10 pick and select Mahomes.
